2023 Buick Encore GX

The 2023 Buick Encore GX comes in three trim levels. The introductory Preferred trim features 18-inch bright silver painted aluminum wheels, deep-tinted glass, and heated power outside mirrors. The Select trim upgrades the wheels to 18-inch machined aluminum with high-gloss dark android pockets and adds roof-mounted side rails. The Essence includes LED headlights and tail lights and a front and rear chrome-accented bumper. All trim levels of the 2023 Encore GX feature LED daytime running lamps and fog lamps, automatic on/off headlights, and solar absorbing windshield. For convenient access to the rear cargo area, a hands-free power liftgate system is available on all trims. And overhead, you can choose to add an available panoramic power moon roof and roof rack cross rails on any Encore GX trim.

An ECOTEC 1.2-liter turbo engine comes standard on the 2023 Buick Encore GX Preferred and Select trims. This engine outputs 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. The Essence trim upgrades the engine to an ECOTEC 1.3-liter turbo that produces 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. All Encore GX engines are paired with an automatic continuous variable transmission and feature a selectable stop/start system that enhances fuel efficiency. The 1.2-liter engine has an EPA-estimated 30 combined mpg, while the 1.3-liter engine gets an estimated 27 combined mpg.

The 2023 Buick Encore GX offers an incredibly smooth and quiet ride. Buick's QuietTuning technology is specially designed to reduce and absorb displeasing sounds. Plus, with the additional active noise cancelation feature, the Encore GX is able to create a noise-insulated interior. Despite being a small SUV, the 2023 Encore GX, when properly equipped, is able to tow up to 1,000 pounds. It also comes standard with a four-wire electrical harness and four-pin sealed connector for connecting trailer lights. You can add an available trailering package, which includes a trailer hitch, trailering harness, and trailer hitch bezel, so your Buick will be trailer-ready when you drive off the dealer lot.

The 2023 Buick Encore GX has seating for up to five occupants and offers ample cargo space. Behind the rear seats, you'll have 23.5 cubic feet of cargo volume. When you fold the 40/60 split-folding rear bench seats down, your available cargo space expands to 50.2 cubic feet. Numerous comfort and convenience features come standard on the 2023 Encore GX. Drivers will enjoy a leather-wrapped steering wheel that has a heating feature on the Essence trim. Heated driver and front passenger seats are standard on the Select and Essence trim and available on the Preferred. Standard entertainment and technology features include Wi-Fi hotspot capablility, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and an infotainment system with an eight-inch color touch-screen.

All 2023 Buick Encore GX trims come standard with a rear vision camera and the Buick Driver Confidence system. This system includes automatic emergency and front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, forward collision alert, a following distance indicator, and IntelliBeam headlamps with auto high beam. Adaptive cruise control is also available on all trims.
