1. Shiloh Museum of Ozark History
The Shiloh Museum of Ozark History is one of the best museums in the area. It focuses on the Northwest Arkansas Ozarks, so it’s very relevant to locals. The museum is fun for children as well as adults. Casual visitors can walk through the various historical buildings and examine the artifacts. Those who are doing more detailed research can browse through over 500,000 photos in the research library.
It’s easy to access the museum by car. From I-49, you simply take the Elm Spring Roads exit and drive along Huntsville Avenue for about two miles. Then, you turn right on Main Street. The museum is located at 118 W. Johnson Avenue. Plenty of free street-side parking is available.
2. Ozark Climbing Gym
Are you looking for an active adventure for the whole family? If so, Ozark Climbing Gym could be the perfect place. You can purchase a day pass and visit the gym, which is suitable for all levels. There are also clubs and climbing teams for people who want to practice bouldering more regularly.
Ozark Climbing Gym is located at 875 E Robinson Avenue. It’s open from Monday to Friday from 2 pm to 10 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 pm to 8 pm. If you’re planning on bringing young children, or you have no climbing experience, it’s best to call ahead and make sure you’re aware of the rules and best practices.
3. Me and the Flea Market
The next time you’re looking for a unique gift or a new decorative item for your home, take your Buick Encore GX to Me and the Flea Market. This store is massive, so you can easily spend three or four hours browsing through the various items. Visitors love the friendly and knowledgeable service and the great prices. They also appreciate how clean the flea market is.
