Sometimes, our favorite views aren’t always mountain peaks or massive rivers; sometimes they’re old railroad tracks, fallen trees, and history museums. Take the Car and Check Out the 4 Best Views Near Springdale, AR

Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area

This impressive area borders the southern section of Beaver Lake and is 12,000 acres in total. Spanning several counties, you can find more than 30 miles of hiking, walking, and biking trails. From these trails, you’ll get a one-of-a-kind view of Beaver Lake. If you’re not into walking, there’s also horseback riding, campsites for rent, and even an outdoor shooting range.

Arkansas & Missouri Railroad

Want a view but don’t want to walk? This train features vintage heavyweight passenger cars and one, lightweight, streamlined parlor car from the 1950s and it’s sure to take you back in time. The tracks cover just under 140 miles of land around the Ozark Mountain range and the Arkansas River, giving you ample opportunity to view them both. The train isn’t only for passengers, either. It’s still a working freight line!

Ozark National Forest

While this view is the farthest away at 40 miles outside Springdale, we highly recommend you stop by and check it out. The entire forest encompasses 1.2-million acres of land for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and more. On the lakes, you’ll be met with kayaking, boating, swimming, and fishing options.

There’s also a scenic backroad that takes you through the forest if you’d like to see the views while you relax. Try your hand at spotting some local wildlife, or maybe safely pull over to take photos of unique flowers.

Fitzgerald Mountain

This trail is designed for bikers and is considered a medium/moderate trail. The paths are made completely out of fit-together boulder fragments that clearly indicate where the trail begins and ends. Make sure to check out the Stage Coach, Coyote Cave, and Best Trail Ever trails for the incredible stone trail work alone.

Not sure about your biking expertise? That’s alright. Fitzgerald is equipped with everything from a beginner-friendly flow trail to an expert-only line that features a 10-ft drop with an 18-ft gap that sends you flying into a 30-ft jump. Your 2022 Buick Envision Preferred won’t have any trouble fitting the bikes in the back. Just make sure you bring that helmet!
